Polyesters et vinylesters
By using different resin systems, Halle Lux sheets can be given different properties depending on the application and environment. The choice of resin primarily affects the properties of the end product in terms of fire performance, temperature resistance and chemical and corrosive resistance.
Standard – fire-retardant polyester
As standard, Halle Lux uses a fire-retardant polyester adapted for our normal applications within construction and industry.
DION FR® 9300 – for aggressive and corrosive environments
For more demanding environments, Halle Lux can be manufactured with DION FR® 9300, a brominated bisphenol-epoxy-vinyl ester with fire-retardant properties. The material has been developed to provide high corrosion resistance across a wide range of acidic and alkaline environments.
DION FR® 9300 combines good chemical resistance with high strength, temperature stability and good resistance to cracking, impact loading and fatigue.
The system also has documented fire-retardant properties. Depending on the laminate build-up and additives, the manufacturer reports, among other things, ASTM E84 Class I results.
The choice of resin is made based on the requirements placed on the finished sheet and the environment in which the product will be used.
